Homebuyer Education & Down Payment Assistance Guidance

Helping eligible individuals and families access programs that make homeownership possible.

United Housing Assistance and Art Society, Inc. provides education, guidance, and referral support for individuals seeking down payment assistance and first-time homebuyer programs. Our mission is to expand access to affordable homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income households.

What Down Payment Assistance Means

Down payment assistance (DPA) programs are designed to help eligible homebuyers cover upfront home purchase costs, such as:

  • Down payment requirements

  • Closing costs

  • Prepaid expenses

These programs are often offered through state, county, city, or approved housing agencies and may include:

  • Grants (non-repayable funds)

  • Forgivable loans

  • Deferred second mortgages

  • Low-interest assistance programs

Our organization helps applicants understand available options and connect with qualified housing professionals.
