ABOUT UNITED HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND ART SOCIETY, INC.

Building Stability. Creating Opportunity. Strengthening Communities.
United Housing Assistance and Art Society, Inc. (UHAAS) is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing homelessness, promoting housing stability, and helping individuals and families achieve long-term independence throughout Central Florida.

Our mission is to provide housing assistance, emergency and transitional housing support, rental assistance coordination, rapid rehousing services, veteran housing support, homebuyer education, and community-based programs that help individuals move from crisis to stability and from stability to self-sufficiency.

WHY UHAAS WAS CREATED

UHAAS was established in response to the growing housing challenges facing individuals and families throughout Central Florida. Rising housing costs, unexpected financial hardships, and limited access to affordable housing have left many households vulnerable to housing instability and homelessness.

Our organization was created to bridge the gap between emergency need and long-term stability by connecting individuals and families with housing resources, supportive services, educational opportunities, and community partnerships that create lasting solutions.

We believe that stable housing is the foundation for stronger families, healthier communities, and greater economic opportunity.
